April showers bring May flowers!!!! Today is a perfect day to get caught up on some blogging plus some other indoor activities. Yes, the warm weather is nice, but so is the rain; especially when you are getting enough to water things so you don't have to drag the hoses out for a few more days. For those of you who are really ready for the hot summer, let me remind you of what we had about 2
wks ago.

This was a little over 12hrs after it started. We had had warm weather prior to this massive storm so the ground was not frozen plus the snow was extremely wet.

Can anyone say.........I'm really concerned just how big this "puddle" is going to get when it all melts!!

This pic doesn't show it that well but we had drifts over 2ft deep.
Unfortunately, the horse pens are a couple of the low spots on the property; they don't like getting their feet muddy(not that I blame them). They did have dry places in their sheds though.

These "puddles" got bigger before they got smaller. I was wading in water to go feed. I still had small puddles in these pens before todays rain came-now they're growing again.

What a mess; but a very, much needed mess-I'll take the moisture in about any form we can get it.

Some of you may remember this picture from a previous post when we got our first big winter storm.
Azule is not affected by the weather. I think he enjoys it. He has 4 dog houses to choose from plus the option to come indoors and he declines them all.

This is a true "snow dog".

My juniper bushes seem to be feeling a bit "low".

Normally they are taller than me but after the storm they were maybe waist high.

The front of the house had a huge, long drift in it.

After over 24hrs of
blowin' snow the sun made its appearance so don't forget, this too shall pass.
