Happy Hunting!

Warning: this is a long post-there are lots of cute pictures and there is the potential to feel sad, upset, bewildered, or frustrated after noticing the beauty of the day compared to the blizzard of today; but WOW, what a storm. Expect the unexpected-especially when it comes to Nevada weather.
Anyhow, we had a wonderful Easter. As most of you know, the weather was great so the girls got to spend lots of time outside with their friends and family. Our morning started with all of us getting ready for church; the girls had been waiting patiently to be able to wear their new dresses. We had planned that after church we would do the annual Easter egg hunt and bar-b-que buffalo burgers for lunch. My mom, Sara, Tony, and Becky came over plus a bunch of boys from church for the egg hunt and to play. They all had a blast!!

My sleeping beauties have risen and found a surprise.
Ahhh! I wish they were like this every morning.

And there off! We let the little kiddos go first in the pasture while the older kids looked in the tree line down the driveway. Notice the beautiful day.

Scavengers on the hunt.

Where could they be? Remember, they had 76 eggs to find.

Missy found one and is on the look out for another before she has put that one in her basket. Notice the "game" face she has on. Quite serious too.

Skippin' along

Combing the pasture for those last few remaining eggs all wanting to be the one that finds the last egg.

Brooklynn on a mission for more eggs. So cute!!

This is Becky's long lost friend twice removed on her cousin's, mother's, daughters, step-mom's, uncles side.

Its so hard to look at the camera when one is still looking for eggs but I still really like this picture of her.

My handsome man helping out.

What did you find Brooklynn?

Oooooh....so pretty

Okay, its time to tally the eggs to see if they found them all.

Everybody had a lot of fun; so much fun that I was tempted to re-hide the eggs so that they could do it again but I was concerned that we would end up with all 76 eggs cracked and broken and would then need to do something with all of them right away and we were getting really hungry soooo, for the sake of time and out growling tummies we divided up the eggs and sent some home with the Patterson's.

Ruby was really wanting to get in on the attention.

Success!!! Best friends!! Charlies Angels!!!
