A Leisurely Ride

Spring is in the air! The trees are getting buds, the lawn is starting to get faint hints of green in it, the weeds are starting to grow(there are going to be a bunch of them this year), the weather is starting to warm up and get very unpredictable, the hair is flying off of the horses and we have been out riding. This past week the girls and I rode three times; it was very nice to go take a leisurely ride and just enjoy time with the girls.

Marisa and Nina-the littlest rider on the biggest horse....hmmmm-she is very proud of this.
Jessie and her 'new' favorite ride-Lena

The girls

My view from my ride

Miss Riata

Time to go up the rode-the arena gets boring for all involved

Then out to the desert-even better.

Yeah, her legs are a bit short for the stirrups but it doesn't slow her down at all.

Follow the leader

A girls place is on the back of her horse

....and her horse(that's Cheif in the corner-our neighbor went with us)

Heading back to the house the long way around. Little detour-check out the big bush; there must be something edible.

I don't know what it is but I really like this picture. Maybe its because its a girl(that I'm really fond of) on a horse(like them too) out taking a enjoyable ride(the only way to go) with the mountains in the background(the scenery is important when taking rides). Yeah, its just a good picture.

Deep in thought-its a great place to do some thinking. Nothing like the fresh air, steady clip, clop of the feet of the horse that your riding-its therapeutic.

Yep, therapeutic and relaxing(she was getting tired, both of them)

Jessie has decided to take on one of the responsibilities on horse ownership-check the feet-"No foot, no horse".

This is a look of desperation- "hurry up and take the pic because these feet are heavy!"
