Warm Spell

Seems like after winter hits with its bitter cold, we always have a warm spell in January-a January thaw and this past January proved no different with temps up into the 50's. This of course, always gets me in the 'spring cleaning' mood and I have to remind myself its only January and as of today, February, but we are still having warm temps with a few 'chillier' days here and there but I think winter is on its way out. There are even weeds starting to sprout-this is no surprise though and one of the horses and one dog are starting to shed!
Of course, when this warm weather starts showing up, I'm always eager to get out and Jessie is too-we went riding and did quite a bit of it one week.

The horses, with their winter coats, can get quite warm quickly with little riding so we had a lot of 'cooling' off to do but no big deal when you enjoy it!
